We’re sharing our March 6th social media post about this here. An update for any regulars that don’t follow our Instagram or Facebook…
Change is happening at Ooze & Tang.
Our JP’s last day with us will be Tuesday April 15th. He has made the difficult decision to finish up at Ooze & Tang. Then Isaac and I will be taking some time off to rest and reset.
Bar manager/co-owner JP has decided to move on from Ooze & Tang. This is best for him and his young family. He wants to spend more time with his kids. Live the lifestyle he moved down south for. Isaac and I absolutely understand and support this. It’s been a huge two and a bit years. We’re really proud of what we’ve all achieved together.
It’s been a pleasure co-owning this rad little restaurant with him. He’s the best bartender we’ve ever worked with, whilst also being a smart and kind human. We will miss his presence on the team, as will our guests. Thanks JP for all you’ve contributed with us.
We now have six weeks for you to pop in and have the full expert bar-tender experience. Did you know you can book the bar tables specifically in the booking system?
Under the watchful eyes of Isaac & I, Ooze and Tang will continue onwards. Serving the same brilliant food, with amazing service, and an impressive wine and beer list… after we take a few hard-earned weeks off.
We won’t be seeking to keep the exact same bar structure. It wouldn’t be the same anyway. We will be changing the cocktail/spirits offering to something much smaller, but still seriously delicious. Details to come.
Do we have a reopening date set post-break? Not yet. But Chef Isaac and I will keep you posted.
Then what? Our current lease is up November 2025. That’s all we know. We’re looking forward to a cosy, delicious winter in this space.
In the meantime, we plan to make these last six weeks of Ooze & Tang version 1.0 incredibly joyous. If you’d like one of JP’s drinks before he leaves, please come in before April 15th.
